The International Workers’ Day is coming. We will have two and a half days off to enjoy this holiday.
The International Workers’ Day, which is also known as May Day, is a celebration of the international labour movement and left-wing movements. It is is the commemoration of the 1886 Haymarket Massacre in Chicago. During this holiday, we can see organized street demonstrations and marches by working people and their labour unions throughout most of the world. Now, there are more than 80 countries treat May 1st as a national holiday. In China, May 1st markes the start of one of the country’s three “Golden Weeks”. Three days off work were given. It is a good time for folks to go travelling. , for no more than 3 days. But from 2008, only one day would still be given, with the other two days being rescheduled on Qingming in early April and Duanwu in early June, respectively.
The holiday time for May Day is from April 29th afternoon to May 1th, 2.5 days in total, among which April 28th (Saturday) and April 29th (Sunday afternoon) these two general holidays are transferred to April 30th (Monday) and April 29th (Sunday morning), May 1st (Wednesday) for national legal holiday, paid vacation. On May 2nd (Wednesday) we will come back and set to normal work.
According to the previous notice of Tomb-sweeping Day holiday, although we are on the vacation, you can still place orders directly through the network and we will be back in time to process your orders asap. We do apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. Thank you.
