US T86 Customs Clearance Updates & Logistics Solutions of Dear-Lover.com

Dear Customers,

According to the U.S. government's announcement, the duty-free policy for goods valued at $800 or less (T86 customs clearance) was revoked on May 2.

In response, we will temporarily suspend the express shipping option from April 25 to May 18, and resume on May 19.

To avoid customs duties, we recommend stocking up in advance so we can ship your order via international express before the policy change takes effect.

1、Mandatory Tax ID (Importer of Record Number)

All U.S. bound orders require a valid Tax ID (Importer of Record/IOR Number) at checkout for customs clearance and duty calculation.

Alternatives for Individual Buyers:

• Use your Social Security Number (SSN).

• Apply for a free IRS-issued Importer Number.

2. International Express Shipping + Ineluctable Customs Duty.

Dear-lover.com resumed international express shipping on May 19. The import customs duty is ineluctable for our U.S. clients (Updated: November 10, 2025)

According to the order amount, the customs duty for our clothes is $0.2-$12 per piece. Usually, buy more save more.

If you buy 1 tee for $3.98, the total customs duty is $12 $12 per piece;

Iif you buy 10 tees for $39.8, the total customs duty is $12 $1.2 per piece;

If you buy 25 tees for $99.5, the total customs duty is $12 = $0.48 per piece;

If you buy 50 tees for $199, the total customs duty is $23.13 ≈ $0.46 per piece;

If you buy 100 tees for $398, the total customs duty is $36.27 ≈ $0.36 per piece;

4、Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I get a Tax ID?

A: Businesses can use an EIN, while individuals may apply for an IRS Importer Number (free, 10-minute process).

Q: What is Delivered Duty Paid (DDP)?

A: Delivered duty paid (DDP) is a type of delivery agreement—outlined by the International Chamber of Commerce—whereby the seller assumes all of the responsibility, risk, and costs associated with transporting goods until the receiver/customer receives (or transfers) the goods at the destination port.
This delivery agreement includes paying for shipping costs, export and import duties, insurance, and any other expenses incurred during shipping to an agreed-upon location in the receiver/customer's country.

Q: Who pays DDP freight?

A:Delivery duty paid is a delivery agreement whereby the seller assumes all responsibility, risk, and costs of the package until it is delivered to the buyer.

Q: Does DDP include customs clearance?

A: In the DDP agreement, the seller is responsible for customs clearance, including duties or VAT.

Q: Is it possible to reject a DDP shipment on arrival?

A: In theory, yes. However, it depends on what the contract says. Some sellers require a payment or deposit before the goods have arrived, and if a buyer rejects the shipment in this situation, they are likely to lose their deposit.

Q: Is DDP shipping door to door?

A: The seller provides door-to-door delivery under a DDP Incoterm, including customs clearance and shipping charges.

Q: Which shipping option saves money?

A: DDP via Sea Freight or Air Parcel is often cheaper than international express due to bulk duty rates negotiated by carriers.

Q: What if I choose Direct Shipping but don't pay duties?
A: Packages will be held by customs, with storage fees ($5/day)or return charges ($50) applied.

Q: What Does Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) Mean for an Exporter?
DDP indicates that the seller (exporter) assumes all the risk and transportation cost. The seller must also clear the goods for export at the shipping port and import at the destination. Moreover, the seller must pay export and import duties for goods shipped under DDP.

Q: What Is the Difference Between Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) and Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU)?
A: In the world of global commerce, delivered duty unpaid (DDU) is a type of delivery agreement that outlines that it's the receiver/customer's responsibility to pay for any of the destination country's customs charges, duties, or taxes. Conversely, delivered duty paid (DDP) means it's the shipper's responsibility to pay any of the customs charges, duties, and/or taxes required to send the product to the destination country.
