2014 The Way E-commerce Course -- Professor Long Ping's Talents Decoding
Before the course, Mr. Long explained what are the companies’ most confusing and worrying things about their staffs, just like people’s suffering from headaches, feet illness and backaches. But today, the course would be focused on the Evaluation and Recruitment of Talents. In fact, the talents are selected but not trained. The standards of recruiting talents are as followed: 1. There is no choice but to recruit the right talent or just do it by yourself. 2. If you do not choose the right talent first, it will be harder to train. Actually, there is no need to manage an excellent talent. If there is, we can just say it a labor education. 3. It is very difficult to transform a person. Hence, it is better to reselect a right person rather than wasting time in transforming one. 4. People do not have advantages and disadvantages. What they really have are characteristics. Advantages and disadvantages are not absolute, they are relative. And it is wise for you to make best of their characteristics. 5. We can not find a perfect person, but a perfect team does exist. Just like the marriage or a company’s development, either of them needs a perfect match. Bill Gates has once said that the most successful thing in his life is to select a right wife.

Create a relaxing atmosphere and give staffs chances to talk with the boss alone. 2. The boss should praise the staffs regularly to let staffs feel valued. 3. Encourage staffs to express their opinions and the boss should listen to their ideas carefully. 4. Find out staffs’ intrinsic needs and personal goals. 5. Help staffs to achieve their goals which will be consistent with the company’s goal.
